Phillip M. Jones, it sounds to me like you don't understand this process
(which is not unreasonable I guess). Netscape employs engineers who
check in code every day to the Mozilla tree. They pull this tree every
day and add some code from a different tree (the Netscape commercial
code tree which contains branding overlays and other proprietary things
like AIM) and from this they make daily "commercail builds" on which
netscape QA and developers test and do developemnt work. The results of
most of that testing and development are more fixes landing the next day
in the Mozilla tree. Most of a Netscape daily "commercial build" is
exactly the same as a Mozilla daily build.
If you're suggesting that Netscape should release Daily or even Monthly
distributions of Netscape 6.x you're in the wrong group and talking to
the wrong people. Release schedule decisions for commercail software
are generally not made by the developers working on the software.
