As a supporter and almost 1.5 year user of Mozilla, i can say rendering
speed is very impressing in current builds and will be even better soon.
Start up performance is not a big issue and is already solved at the
expense of some memory ;). There are two main performance issue disturbs
me in slow machines (like MMX 200)
- The window painting performance (not page). First window, new window
rendering and Switching between mozilla windows is not as good as i
wanted, especially since i want to switch so fast. And stealing focus
bug is just making this worse.
- Mail reply - new compose window speed.

Yet there is a trick IE uses i guess. IE, shows the window even it hasnt
finished all the work. So user thinks it is faster than it aactually
is. maybe in mozilla if you show the browser window on the half way
through the real stuff, it may effect user in a good way. well.. Just a
thought.. :)
