Having tried the new milestone *with* Mail/News this time I think it's
neither rendering speed nor startup speed that needs to be improved, but
interface response. Examples:
1. The preferences window
2. The Subscribe window for newsgroups. It takes 4 seconds there to unfold
the "alt." tree, and 6 seconds to collapse it.
3. Scrolling the message headers or accounts is also VERY slow, while
scrolling web pages in the browser is amazingly fast.
By the way, "-turbo" doesn't seem to do anything on Linux.
