I tried to get an answer on why secnews.netscape.com was inaccessible
for two or three days and never received an answer. The only answer I
did get is from calling and talking to John at Netscape. Apparently
John had no clue about the secnews.netscape.com server and told me what
ever came to mind. I did send e-mail to some of the Netscape Champions
hoping to find out the server status, but no one ever responded.
I guess [maybe some or all, I am not sure] the Netscape Champions think
they are too important to answer e-mail, or they simply get flooded with
e-mail. There never was any status reports on Netscape's Web site and I
could not get any answers to what happened to the server.
I answer quite a big e-mail from users that post in the
netscape.communicator newsgroup that accesses secnews.netscape.com
server. I have no problems answering/responding to user's e-mail on top
of what I already answer, read, and respond to.
This entire situation could have easily been eliminate if someone
quickly posted the server status on Netscape's Web site and for John at
Netscape to provide me with accurate information on the server status;
including receiving e-mail responses. I received about 30-40 e-mails
from users inquiring about the secnews.netscape.com status.

Good! I wonder why it took so long to come out.
