It took about 15 minutes to validate the HTML on that page, during that 
time I:
watched 5 or 10 minutes of scooby doo
went to the bathroom
took my contacts out
got some orange juice

When I got back to the validator page, it had come up with something in 
the range of 70 - 200+ errors on the page.  That could be the reason for 
Mozilla rendering it slowly, or maybe there is another bug here.  It's 
really hard to tell without a clean document that demonstrates this.  If 
the page had validated correctly, or even with a few (less than 10) 
errors, I would say it is definitely something wrong with Mozilla.  But 
on a page with that many errors, I can't say that the page doesn't 
render slowly just because the browser has to spend so long figuring out 
what to do with it
