Banks are so stupid in general. They have a terminal case of 'not invented
here'. I wish it were terminal, anyway.

I use a bank which has come to the breathtaking conclusion that a straight
128-bit SSL site will do the job. There is Javascript, but it's an
enhancement, not a requirement. The site even works properly in Lynx.

Compare to banks which require you to download and use their custom client
software ...
