If you go to the above site or the parent page 
http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/ and select demos for 1.3 based 
applets it correctly uses the plug-in. If I disable java (ns) then I 
dont get the plug-in or the built in vm. I cant find anyway to force the 
usage of the PLUG-IN. If you read the source on the above page it 
explicitly calls for version 1.3.1 java. Thats why all the spy pages 
show the built in version and not the plug-in version becase they dont 
specify which version of java they want so it defaults to the built in.
