Sort of. I have volunteered to clean up the currently crufty and full-of-non-useful-stuff page www.mozilla.org/docs (which probably serves as a starting point for many beginner developers). I removed links I don't consider interesting for beginner-to-average people (but they are still available if you click the top-level link for that topic on the page).
