We have an application that we have created that uses a MIME type definition
to have limited interaction with our web site. Basically we want to know if
you have the application installed when you come to our site or if you need
to download and install it.

We use the Microsoft installation tools to install the application and stuff
a bunch of entries in the registry to associate file extensions and all of
that good stuff. Under NS 4.x this works and we can detect if you have our
application installed. Under Mozilla/NS 6.x the list of MIME types returned
by JavaScript does not include ours, it only includes about 50 of the 450
that NS 4.x does.

How do we register the MIME type during our installation so that Mozilla/NS
6.x recognizes it.

Thanks,

Shawn
