Because Netscape supplies the hardware on which the Mozilla Organization
runs, and it's not in Netscape's interests to fund something which would
be competing with them.

Or think of the relationship between Debian and the Debian distros (like
Progeny Linux, Libranet, Corel Linux, Storm Linux, etc).
Waitaminute. Debian GNU/Linux has distributors, but Debian still
provides end-user binaries and volunteer support! How dare they! They
must stop that this instant!
