Oh yes I know one can (and I do) download AIM from AOL. In fact the beta
version of Netscape 6.1 (not final on OS X) and the Mozilla milestone
builds have no installer. Its just one BIG file you download and
decompress... and AIM is still beta for OS X.
I just stopped using netscape 4.x before AOL and Netscape became one.
