Well, after going back through my firewall definitions again and again, I found the source of my error. It looks as though some sort of rule sneaked in between the time I installed build 20011001 and subsequent builds. It was this rule that was preventing the recent builds from getting past. The rule allowing build 20011001 access to the outside was being executed OK, while the rules allowing later builds to get out were never getting executed. Symantec's Desktop Firewall keeps track of individual instances of the same program, namely, mozilla.exe. Once again, chalk this one up as another user error! Roy R. Campbell, Jr.
