Mozilla has never shown the mime types plugins are configured for in the
preferences, at least it never has for me. What does "about:plugins"
show for you? Right now I have:

video/x-msvideo
application/x-zip-compressed
image/jpeg
application/pdf
in my helper apps. Yet flash, quicktime, realplayer, java, and any
other plugin i've installed works fine. about:plugins shows this:

Yes, I have multiple quicktime versions listed, and a lot of the
quicktime ones overlap each other, but i don't see any problems with any
quicktime content. So for what I hope is the last time, FORGET ABOUT
THE "HELPER APPLICATIONS" FIELD! It means NOTHING for plugins working
or not
