Mozilla uses a link tag in the head section of the document, like <LINK REL="shortcut icon" HREF="/favicon.ico"> If you want, mozilla also supports png, gif and jpeg favicons, but IE doesn't. The favicon can be located anywhere (even on another server) and have any name. At the moment, if there is no link tag then the nightly builds will look for /favicon.ico, which is a precident set by IE. Lots of people don't like this, and the way it is looking at the moment this method will not be supported in official mozilla releases (except via a, probably hidden, pref). If you use the link tag, then I think IE will also show the favicon in the address bar while browsing (if not, it will only be shown when the page is bookma.., i mean added to your favourites) Ian
