Same settings here, and the same behaviour.

Same here. I suspect that the auto-disconnect feature only works with IE 
based apps, as well as IE/OE, Napster, iMesh, etc. do it as well (they 
use the IE 'engine'.

Yes, I mentioned in this post that I had posted the same thing 
elsewhere, I just felt it was worth repeating given the amount of 
trouble it's caused me.
