While trying to build mozilla 0.9.7 rpms for my system, I ran into new problems I
never had before.
The first was the use of a modified libart for SVG. The configure script do ask to set
a flag for this purpose.
Then I did it and this is why I come to you for the first question. How can I add the
libmoz_art_lgpl.so in the
browser rpm ? Is it only about adding a line in the list file /tmp/mozilla.list (or
another such one) ?
The second question is about the libpng implementation used in libimg. RedHat rawhide
uses libpng 1.2.0 or 1.2.1.
Mozilla includes libpng 1.0.9.
This difference causes a segfault at mozilla startup when the rpms are installed. When
executed from build tree,
it runs like a charm. A workaround implies to change the libpng included in mozilla
src tree to update libpng
implementation files from 1.0.9 to 1.2.0 or 1.2.1 (according to the installed version
of libpng).
My question is about a better way to fix this problem. Is there a way to tell mozilla
build tools to use the
system installed png lib ?

Thanks for your answers ...

P.S.: If someone is interrested in the rawhide rpms for mozilla, let me know they are
availables through http/ftp.
(or they will when these problems will be fixed, as the current ones do not install
libart)
