I really HATE comments taken out of context and then criticized.
While Mama Cass and Gavin are both correct in the methods used
by MS (which I DO clearly mention in the unqouted protion of
text), the fact remains that designers complained loudly about
all the proprietary stuff coming from Netscape. As MS exploited
their monopoly, designers started using that as an excuse to
choose MS compatibility before Netscape compatibility.
This in no way mitigates the illegal and immoral acts commited
by MS.
