Agreed. And to be fair, while "features" can use popups instead of it just being ads, it's still annoying. CNN.com popups up a little window that lets you "choose your edition" or some such nonsense. If the cookie they set was more persistent, this probably wouldn't be so annoying. As it is, every few days it asks me for my language preference. Chances are most people visiting it are visiting a localized page anyway, so having this as a popup is totally unneeded. Mozilla allows me to block it, and makes CNN that much nicer to visit. Some "features", aren't.
