Someone on a comp.* newsgroup sent me a hack for enabling proper PNG
alpha channels through DirectX. It was a JavaScript of few short lines,
and it worked fine by simply putting a link to it into the <head> part
of a HTML file. As far as I understood, it overlays a transparent 1x1
GIF over each image and then sets some DirectX alpha parameters.
Of course, it is _Microsoft's_ responsibility to fix PNG alpha though.
And Mac IE 5 does it fine.
