Actually, they don't; they have an installer program that does
this for them.
And making a registry entry or creating a directory to copy
files into is a long way from reading my address book and
sending the data somewhere on the internet. And IF a program
wanted to do this, it wouldn't get through the fire wall without
my allowing it.
