I encountered this problem when finally making the switch-over from IE 6 to Moz 0.9.8. The release notes for 0.9.9 don't make mention of it, so I can't say for sure whether this also applies to 0.9.9, but the release notes for 0.9.8 stated, by implication, that Java applets required .dll (NPOJI610.dll) that was to be found in (the specific path is taken from my own system) C:\j2sdk 1.4.0\jre\bin. I tried to find the .dll in several separate JRE downloads (please don't ask), including JRE 1.4.0, and it just wasn't there; it /is/ there, however, if you download the full JDK. I realise that this shouldn't be the case, but it is . . . or, at least, that was my specific experience. I really wish someone who knows just what's going on with this would post a response clarifying this matter. — Brian
