Ooops, sorry everyone, looks like 4.01 Transitional gives me extra space, but 4.0 does not. So it looks like 'quirky' mode is OK for me.
BUT I'd rather not be on Quirky at all, so can someone explain why my example with the 1x1 spacer in a table cell gives a table which is one 'line height' high? Thanks, Alistair
