But I think I'll give up before I annoy even more people. I'll stick with things being broken in Mozilla because that's easier than trying to find out how to fix it.

Poor noble you. What a crock!

You post to the wrong group, I point you to the right group, then you flagrantly violate netiquette by removing the followup-to: while keeping the cross-posting, and copping tedious and completely unjustified attitude about how you had the right group, in your expert opinion.

I really don't give a damn if you go away, but the group to which I referred you is the right group. Even if you need a custom DOM event (which we support), the dom folks can help you -- if you choose to behave yourself.

Here's a final attempt at clue injection: the jseng group is for core JavaScript/ECMA-262 language and engine issues, particularly to-do with the SpiderMonkey and Rhino implementations hosted by Mozilla, *only*.

People reading jseng use the Mozilla JS engines in VXML servers, 3D games, and other various embeddings in addition to the Mozilla suite and Firefox -- and they don't need to hear you displaying your ignorance while arrogantly declaiming the entire project for not catering to your misdirected demands.
