I can distribute my compiled executable as public domain, freeware,
shareware, commercial etc. I am not required to release my source
code, and I'm not required to make mention anywhere in the executable
or related documentation that it uses the JEDI library.

So, is my interpretation correct?
No, on that last point.

3.6. Distribution of Executable Versions.
You may distribute Covered Code in Executable form only if the requirements of Section 3.1-3.5 have been met for that Covered Code [dealing with modifications, of which you have made none], and if You include a notice stating that the Source Code version of the Covered Code is available under the terms of this License [this is the key bit], including a description of how and where You have fulfilled the obligations of Section 3.2 [which you don't need to do, because you have no obligations under Section 3.2].

So, you need to "include a notice stating that the Source Code version of the Covered Code is available under the terms of this License." It doesn't state it explicitly, but it would make sense to include a pointer to where the Covered Code is available.

Politeness also suggests that the notice appear in your About box or somewhere similar, rather than on page 362 of the manual.
