the resizing of the panes:
  - it is very slow             and
  - if I increase the width of the Mail Folders Pane the 
newsgroup/folder names which needed more width of the pane than the 
previous width don't get completed, e.g. n.p.m.mail-n... stays at it is 
and doesn't get n.p.m.mail-news (xx)
