I'm a sys admin for 600 users. I'd love to deploy Netscape 6 in my
organization but I can't because Netscape won't launch our MAPI e-mail
program, it will only bring up the Netscape e-mail program. My organization
will only support 1 e-mail package and Netscape is not going to be it.
In earlier versions of Netscape you were able to use an altmail heading in
your prefs.js file in order to tell netscape which DLL to use for MAPI.
Sadly, netscape does not support this in any version of the browser since
4.08. Companies seem unwilling to take the time to rewrite Netscape's DLL's
to make sure that their e-mail client will integrate with the browser.
Why can't you simply allow Netscape to launch the default e-mail client
installed on the user's computer like IE does?
