Please, I'd be interested in seeing results to this test with a news 
server that has a more normal (i.e considerably more) number of newsgroups.

Under the old configuration (before Seth put in the fix) I could easily 
"populate" the Subscription dialog for all the newsgroups on the 
Netscape server. However, I could not come any where close to doing the 
same for my own ISP's NNTP server. I'd be interested in comparitive 
results for your average ISP's NNTP server.
