I don't know my Mozilla releases as well as I should, but some time
within the last month or so, Seth implemented this. You should just be
able to hit 'N' or the next button (and possibly Go Next Message from
the menu item) when you are at the bottom of one folder or all of the
messages are read in a folder. I don't think we've implemented an
accelerator to specifically go to the next folder with unread messages,
but that shouldn't be too hard to do.

As with most other features we don't have, the answer is lack of time
and resources to implement it. You can currently double click on the
message sou you can at least read it, but it won't put you within the
context of the folder. I think this is something that might happen
within the Mozilla 1.0 time frame, but I'm not promising anything.
