I disagree with the last sentence. (I must have missed this, sorry.) Not
only the collapse/expand, but also the selection should be remembered.
E.g. maybe Mailnews considers another account the default account than I
do: I have 2 accounts, both used, but the second one listed is my main
one. (How does Mozilla determine the order / default account?) The
secondary one (listed first in Mailnews, i.e. the "default" one in
Mailnews) recieves a few msgs, but not many. I would be quite annoyed,
if Mailnews would set the selecetion to that account at each startup.
If the user left Mailnews in some unimportant folder, he will be able to
figure out what to do to see his new mail - he changed the selected
folder already, so he will be able to do that again. The "problem"
(selection) is obvious, as soon as you look at the folder pane. If he is
intermediately confused, he will (IMO correctly) consider this his own
fault, as soon as he figured out what was wrong.
