Automatic mail checking

I have selected the "Check for new message every xx minutes" in the 
server settings but it doesn't work.
I tried to select also "Log onto this account at startup of Mail" (even 
if I don't know its meaning) but it still doesn't work.

is it a bug?

more: is there a shortcut to check the mail for every accounts instead 
selecting each and press "Get Msg"?


I'm using the latest build (nigtly 01/17/01)
