There are couple of bugs in picture. but let us see if you are facing
any of those...
Today, in order to make Biff ("Check for new message every xx minutes")
work on your selected account. You have to restart the application. Did
you do that..?

We are on the verge of checking in the fix for this (Bug 14301). The fix
is in the review process..I will make a posting in the newsgroups once
that is checked in.
