I might be missing it but I didn't see any way to kill a thread from
there, only to unsubscribe from a newsgroup.
If you're not familiar with the Kill Thread command that most
newsreaders have, it marks an entire thread as read *and* any future
message that belong to that thread are marked as read as soon as the
header is downloaded. Basically, it lets you go on in blissful
ignorance of the existance of a thread of messages that you've decided
you're not interested in.
I have a hard time imagining it's not a feature of the Mozilla
newsreader since it's so common on other newsreaders, but I can't find a
way to do it.
