Me too. I reported it about a month ago, IIRC here on this list. IIRC,
we have a bug on it. You may want to search the archive. This is
assuming that we are speaing about the same bug, of course.

I don't think it's the bankend, because as soon as I switch newsgroups
forth and back, the msgs are marked read. The bug seems to be somewhere
in the frontend, related to displaying the state of newly marked as read
msgs correctly during the "newsgroup-session".
