We might be seeing different bugs then. Once my thread's count is
messed up, it stays that way forever. I've been trying to keep updated
on recent n.p.m.mail-news threads and I have a number of threads that
say they have messages, but they really don't and they've been that way
for days. All of the messages in the thread show up as read, but the
unread counts, and therefore the icon, are incorrect.
