Could anybody please explain or point me to some document to find out what "compact folder" is supposed to do on a POP-account. I know what it does on IMAP (remove mail marked as deleted/to delete), yet fail to understand what it does/should do on POP. I invoked the command "compact folder" for a folder (dangerous right now, see bug 66817) which I had done some editing on before (deleting a few mails), and the sizes of the folder and folder.msf-file did not change after this operation (even after exiting Mozilla). Any insights?
