Duh, no, please don't. Needing 128 MB of RAM just for OS plus browser is 
not reasonable. And I am usually pretty ignorant in these questions 
("buy new RAM, it's cheap!").

We should *lower* the memory-requirements. Memory is a major crititque, 
e.g. c't (German computer magazine) routinely bashes Netscape 6 (in 
part) for that reason.

Memory being extremely cheap at the moment is not too much of an 
argument, because it will probably go up considerably again. (See 
history of mem prices and some rumors about mergers.)
