I copy some mixed Norwegian and Russian text and paste into Mozilla.
Result: the russian text is pasted in as latin garble (high ascii text).

I write something in Norwegian and Russian *in* Mozilla and copy it,
then paste it into my editor. Result: russian text disappears.

I have seen the same problem when opening a "old style" multilingual Mac
text file (Nisus Writer) in a modern unicode savvy/aware editor (Pepper
or Style), where all imported text is opened as latin text.

The same problems appears also if I try to copy/paste to from the editor
in Mozilla Composer. Tthe same problem appears with copying text from
Mozilla Web browser to a mac editor. Which is strange because I knew
that in Netscape 6 it was possible to do this. So this has changed.

Is this a known problem with a name and a number? It seems to me that it
is of such a general kind that perhaps e.g. this forum is not the best.
But mail is the place where I met the problem.
