I am new here, and hope that this is the right place for the question.

My system has limited space and I recently deleted some files that I
(mistakenly?) expected to be regenerated if needed, as happens with the
Netscape "cache" file.

I don't remember the names and they don't seem to have been replaced in a
subsequent reinstall of Netscape.

The problem: I start Netscape 4.03, click on "mail" and get nothing in the
inbox. (I did not delete any file that was named inbox or similar.)

I click on "get mail" and nothing happens.

When I "close" Netscape, I get the message "Netscape did not call
WSACleanup".

Do I need to do a full "uninstall" of netscape, lose my bookmark file and
etc. and then a clean "install" or is there some better (simple) answer?

Any help appreciated.

BTW, this is sent from my "text only" Lynx / Tin (newsreader) account
running online in DOS. I prefer it for all non-graphics work because of
the speed and protection from viruses and etc.

All help appreciated.
