You should
- assign the bug to you, after confirming that this is fine with mscott
- Attach your patch to the bug.
The patch should be a cvs diff -uN from the highest common directory.
It won't hurt to cc and directly ask the people who often work on the
code that is around the code you modify. You can see that easily via
LXR/Bonsai <http://lxr.mozilla.org>.
<http://www.mozilla.org/hacking/> gives more hints for what to do.
Don't be shy with bugging people for help :).
