Well, hrm, I think it should be able to automatically upgrade/repair
your profile if you run a newer version. If not, you are stuck with
creating a new one - which hopefully will remain as long as you want to
use Mozilla. :(

Yes, I agree that this was annoying. The good news is that it was fixed
for more than a month ago! It is fixed in Mozilla 0.9.
