How do you ask it to do that? I've looked at all the options in 
Edit->Mail/News Account Settings... over several times and I just don't 
see it. I also looked in Edit->Preferences->Mail and Newsgroups.

Is it under Privacy and Security -> Password Manager? Do I enter the POP 
server there?

Is it only configurable at the time of creating a new account?
