If we set the way back machine to the time when I used netscape 4.75 for
my browsing and email needs (this is the pre 0.6 days) I used to, on a
quarterly basis, save my older email off to a file so I could shrink my
inbox. They way this works in Netscape Messenger would be for me to select
all of the messages that I wanted to save. Then I would so to File->Save
As->File and all of the selected emails would be saved to the file. I
could then delete them out of my inbox and not worry about looseing any
thing. Oh, btw, all of this was, and is, happening on Win98SE.
When I migrated to Moz0.6 I found out that this didn't work. Thats ok, I
thought, we are still in the beta process. I have watched 0.7, 0.8, 0.9
and now 0.9.1 come out and I still cannot do this.
First question, am I frelled in the head and this does work, I am just
doing this wrong?
Second question, If my experiences are correct when will this functionality
be implemented in Moz Mail and News?
Thirs question, besides editing the inbox and cutting and pasting the
emails by hand, is there a work around for this?
Thanks,
