Encrypting mail

I use Personal Certificates to sign and encrypt messages.

I have imported my Certificates to Mozilla, but I cannot sign messages 
or encrypt messages using Messenger.

I have looked for information at mozilla.org and s/mime is on the roadmap.

Is it support yet, if so how??
