Other than typing the name of the group into the address bar of mozilla, 
e.g. news://alt.mozilla.rules.internet.explorer.sucks how can I add a 
group I know the name of?

Or better yet, how can I just search my group list for keywords?

I find the current listing a huge problem, and don't even bother with it 
if the name of the group is several tiers like the one above [which 
doesn't exist but should].
