Well, I'm trying to get set up to do that too. But it just don't build
on WhyME. Not for me anyway. The main culprit there AFAICT is this
Netscape-special gmake. Where would one start trying to eliminate that
particular dependency and go to a real GNU make setup, or better yet, a
full-blown automake/autoconf one?

Well, probably not, but it would make it seven times easier to determine
who slowed what down when the need arises.

Like I said, the first step there is I need to be able to build it on
WhyME. Despite my best efforts, so far I can't get it to work.
