That's a really lame argument.  No other program on my computer 
ever tries to put stuff at that location: certainly Communicator 
doesn't, and that's what the bulk of Mozilla users are used to.

If there's a good reason to use that location, I'd love to hear 
it.  But "The program [I] hate and refuse to use puts stuff 
there" is hardly it.

Only if it's a really badly run fine restaurant.  The really 
truly good ones will give you fries with ketchup, to go.  And 
charge you $12 for them. And make you wait for half an hour for 
them.  
Or they'll say, with a suitably apologetic face and tone, "Ohh, 
I'm sorry, but we don' have french fries...but the pate is 
excellent!"

Unless you're in England or France.  They'll tell you to crawl 
back into the gutter.
