Yes, and you are wrong. Searching for a newsgroup by name, then somehow
interpreting the name and posting with that assumption is wrong. You are
supposed to read the charta of a group or at least browse through the
group to see, if your post is appropriate.

It stores them in the "Application Data" folder that Windows tells it.

Again, users are wrong here. If you go to a fine restaurant and ask for
fries with catchup to go (because, for some reason, you thought, it was
a Burger King), people won't be nice either.
