I just got build 2001083103 (horrible!), and it still happens. Even
after resetting the chrome by deleting that directory.
But looking at your posts, I see two user agent strings
Mozilla/9.0 (Top Secret Version, None Of Your Business)
That doesn't help much...

Uh, so you're running UNIX, eh? I believe the quicklaunch works in a
very different way there, and this only works with quicklaunch enabled,
so it's probably a windows-only bug.
