I have established that there is an alternative newsgroup for Netscape
6 and I need help in getting to it.
I have established that Netscape themselves run a server at
secnews.netscape.com and that it uses a secure protocol to connect to
it. I have got halfway by entering the url
snews://secnews.netscape.com/netscape.netscape6.windows
in the browser, this starts a kind of "new account" wizard. So far so
good, and I can see the names of the groups carried on this server. I
am theoretically subscribed to netscape.netscape6.windows since I put
that in the original url.
My only remaining problem is that this group appears to have no
messages, despite reading elsewhere that it is a high traffic group.
Any ideas, anyone?
