Try going to your local (if reputable) Air Conditioning guy. Maybe they
have some insight on this type problem, and/or some tricks of their own?
Going to the dealer is like going to the doctor. You get your problem
fitted into a "rapid form" by the nurse, then treated for the "most common"
ailment!
